The crank-tilt function requires a bit more persuasion, but definitely easier than a manual tilt. I chose the Obravia "sunset" fabric, which I'm very pleased with. Can't really comment on its longevity, as I've only had the umbrella for about a month. I do keep a cover over the canopy when it's closed to help prevent fading.

They had the best price of all the sites I looked at. I would definitely do business with them again. I bought a 9 foot “market” umbrella that with auto tilting. It is Forest Green grade A Sunbrella fabric with a black poll. I got it at then end of summer on sale. The Treasure Garden umbrella looks beautiful and everything is well made. We opened it to check it and then put it away for the winter. All the mechanisms are easy to use and the quality is outstanding. I’ve had a smaller Treasure Garden umbrella for over 20 years and it still is in excellent shape except for an expected light fabric fading. I do have to say that I got more technical information when calling different companies than I did with the customer service woman at Patio Garden. The woman I spoke with could not give me the information I needed. Perhaps they could forward the call next time(?) Overall the product and most of the service was excellent.
